Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Nightfood better for expecting moms than other ice creams?

From the American Pregnancy Association to the Mayo Clinic to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, there is general consensus among the experts regarding nutritional requirements of pregnant women.

The basics include things like higher protein, higher fiber, lower glycemic, and more of certain vitamins and minerals. Nightfood provides more of what you need than other ice creams.

Nightfood was formulated to be easier to digest and cause less heartburn because that can be very disruptive to sleep quality.

Our endorsement by the American Pregnancy Association is simply a recommendation that, if you’re going to eat ice cream during your pregnancy, Nightfood is the single best option. It is still recommended you make other healthy choices throughout your day, including lots of whole foods and any necessary supplementation as recommended by your physician.

.

Can my partner share my Nightfood? What about if I already have kids in the house?

You have no excuse not to share…unless you just don’t feel like sharing!!

Nightfood was originally formulated to be a better, healthier, more sleep-friendly ice cream for men, women, and kids of all ages. Only after we found pregnant women posting on Instagram about how much they loved Nightfood did we do the nutritional research and realize how much better Nightfood is for pregnant women than other ice creams.

Can I eat Nightfood before and/or after pregnancy?

Yes!! It’s just a better, healthier ice cream that happens to be a better choice for pregnant women. But it’s great before and after pregnancy too!

Does Nightfood contain any medicine or sleep aids?

Nightfood does not contain sleep-aid substances or drugs, and it’s not a dietary supplement. It’s simply a better-for-you and more sleep-friendly choice for people already eating ice cream.

Sleep-friendly means we optimized the macro-nutrient and ingredient profiles of our products for better sleep quality.

Everybody knows that what you eat before bed matters.

So, we removed/minimized stuff that’s in most other ice creams that can be sleep disruptive (excess sugar, excess fat, excess calories, caffeine in certain flavors), and we considered the nighttime digestive process and the existing research linking sleep to nutritional choices. From there, we added certain minerals and amino acids that research suggests can support sleep quality.

Long story short, our sleep and nutrition experts were tasked with developing a better ice cream for the millions of Americans that regularly have ice cream in the hours before bed. That’s what we call sleep-friendly.

How does Nightfood deliver great taste and creamy ice cream with so little sugar and fat?

Our experts worked with the most innovative ice cream R&D lab in the country to make sure Nightfood was better than anything else on the market. The result is a higher protein, higher fiber ice cream with less fat, less sugar, and fewer calories. We’re extremely proud of the fact that Nightfood contains no Erythritol, no Sucralose, or other artificial sweeteners.
